    THE FOLLOWING COMPLAINTS WERE REPORTED:

    Tuesday, Dec. 12
    *3:14 a.m. -- A student at Reese saw someone from North Carrick throw a burning Christmas tree out of a window.

    Saturday, Dec. 16
    *8:56 a.m. -- Hunters were shooting at geese at the UT Farms on Alcoa Highway.  The police found the hunters on the water.

    Tuesday, Jan. 9, 1996
    *8:31 a.m -- A female at Laurel Apartments reported finding a voodoo doll with matches attached.  She was concerned that it may have been a bomb.  The police confiscated it.

    Saturday, Jan. 20
    *1:49 a.m. -- Someone complained that people were making noise while moving into the Golf Range Apartments.  They were dragging washers and dryers up the stairs, which was preventing the complainant from sleeping properly.  An officer advised the movers to wait until daylight to finish moving.

    Friday, Jan. 26
    *4:01 a.m. -- Someone reported a student was sleeping in the study area in Hodges Library.  He was flatulent and snoring so loudly that he was bothering other students who were trying to study.  An officer responded and advised the student to wake up.

    Monday, Jan. 29
    *11:42 a.m. -- A student called the UT police and reported she was throwing her old parking hang tag away.

    Friday, Feb. 2
    *10:18 p.m. -- A person reported that a C-7 parking sign had mysteriously made its way to the sixth floor stairwell at the Apartment Residence Hall.

    Saturday, Feb. 10
    *11:20 a.m. -- A resident assistant at North Carrick requested emergency maintenance service because the cable TV was out.

    Thursday, Feb. 22
    *9:15 a.m. -- A worker at the anthropology department reported someone had been doing weird things after hours there.  Examples included overturning 55 gallon drums, trying to override computer passwords and leaving the hot water running In the men's restroom.

    Tuesday, Feb. 27
    *4:26 a.m. -- An operator at Central Alarm reported that a bird had flown through the
    window and was attacking him and his computers.  An officer released the bird from confinement In the office.

    Wednesday, Feb. 28
    *10:02 p.m.  -- An officer recovered a 12-pack of Natural Light beer and returned it to the police station.  The contents were poured out and the containers were disposed of.

    Friday, March 1
    *3:02 a.m -- A man reported that a male identifying himself as Davy Crockett was passed out on the front porch at Farmhouse Fraternity.

    Monday, March 11
    *7:05 p.m. -- A resident assistant at the Apartment Residence Hall reported someone was soliciting oil changes.

    Tuesday, March 12
    *10:27 p.m -- A student at Morrill reported he had been receiving prank calls for about a week.  The caller was leaving quotes from the movie Silence of the Lambs -

    Wednesday, March 13
    *3:17 a.m. -- A student at the Apartment Residence Hall reported a female had reported a naked male had been doing disgusting things in the G-7 garage.

    Friday, March 15
    *12:40 a.m. -- A resident assistant at Reese reported a pizza driver had driven his vehicle into Presidential Courtyard.  Officers advised the driver not to drive into the courtyard.

    Sunday, March 17
    *2:02 a.m. -- A man reported his son had called him from the Last Lap and said about 10 people had him trapped inside and wouldn't let him leave.  Officers extracted him from the bar safely.

    Sunday, March 24
    *4:15 a.m. -- Someone reported vulgarity was coming from WUTK-FM 90.3. An officer reported the station was off the air and no one was inside. -Sunday, March 24, 11:12 a.m.-An officer responding to an alarm at the Purchasing Department advised there was a big, fat gray squirrel inside.

    Tuesday, April 2
    *7:36 p.m. -- A student reported she saw a male in the G-7 garage who was unclothed and appeared to, be seeking visual gratification of his appearance. -Friday, April 5, 12:20 a.m.-A student at Golf Range Apartments said she could not find anywhere to park outside her building.  Numerous
    vehicles were parked without legal parked and she had to park several buildings away and walk.

    Saturday, April 6
    *12:14 a.m. -- The hall director at Hess reported that a smoke detector had been stolen, which set off a fire alarm.

    Tuesday, April 9
    *4 a.m. -- A guard reported a man in a black vehicle pulled up on the sidewalk between Hodges Library and Melrose Hall and "shot her a bird."

    Thursday, April 11
    *11:57 a.m. -- Someone stole shrubs from the lawn at 1852 Terrace Ave.

    Thursday, April 11
    *11:50 p.m. -- A student observed two subjects crawling underneath the magnolia trees at Clarence Brown Theater.

    Friday, April 12
    *7:31 p.m. -- The hall director at Clement reported that a resident in the courtyard had been threatened by someone who did not like the way the resident played basketball.

    Saturday, April 13
    *2:01 a.m. -- A student reported there were five males at the S-12 lot who were singing "Rocky Top" and howling like Smokey.  The complainant also stated that the singers didn't even know the words to "Rocky Top."

    Monday, April 16
    *3:37 a.m. -- An officer secured an open door at the rear of the Communications Building near The Daily Beacon . The door was being propped open by a traffic cone.

    Friday, April 19
    *4:48 p.m. -- A student reported he had sold a vehicle with his student housing parking tag.

    Sunday, April 21
    *12:22 a.m. -- A student at Sutherland Apartments was very upset after getting a ticket for being in a fire lane.  He said if the UTPD couldn't find him a parking space, he would call the university president to have him find a parking space.

    Sunday, April 21
    *1:19 a.m. -- A student at Sutherland Apartments reported that someone was walking too heavily on the floor above her apartment, which was going to cause her husband to have a heart attack.  She wanted the subject arrested for attempted murder.
