the end of the world as we know it ......
By Footeywith the year 2000 fast approaching, there has been an increase in the end of the world as we know it movies, including both world destruction by natural forces and by aliens .... with all this in mind, i came up with a plot for a new movie ...... the backdrop .... aliens have been studying us for years and our government has known this .....in america there has been a loss of respect for the office of president and our government in general (i.e a gradual decline brought about by such things as watergate, this gate, that gate, clinton fishing with his bait) ... in other government news, the microsoft party has gained popularity after hearings proved that there was inappropriate campaign funding by other computer software companies which led to the government's lawsuits against microsoft ...... with this increase in popularity, the microsoft party has just announced they plan on running a computer software package as president w/ bill gates as vice-president in the next election .... with our increased reliance on computers and on-line communication and the loss of respect for the presidential office, americans are looking favorably on voting for the microsoft party ....... high ranking government officials and key cia members fear what this will mean for the country, they question what outcome will this have on foreign relations?, can a computer govern?, what will be the outcome of such a venture?, if elected president will it periodically crash giving no indication of what went wrong (i.e. general protection fault in vxd:14u2nv at 01:ou812) and while crashing will it inadvertently launch a nuclear attack? .... given these fears and questions, the cia strikes a deal with the aliens .... the aliens are to come down and tap into or computer systems unleashing a powerful virus that will destroy the country's trust in computers and end the threat of the microsoft political ticket ...... the target date for the aliens arrival is jan. 1, 2000 at 12:01 a.m., but unfortunately for the cia's plan, the aliens missed a key year 2000 issue in there ships navigation system which, as a result of this, the ships computers place themselves in autopilot and all fly to roswell, new mexico where they all crash ....... even though the aliens were not able to unleash their virus, the year 2000 issue affected american's enough that they soon feared electing the microsoft ticket and life returns to the norm |
