I just converted to using a Bergen G-10 frame set.  It is MUCH stiffer than the aluminium or graphite frames that MinAir have.  With the power of the YS 91, I didn’t want any flex in the frame, anywhere.

The red color of the G-10 is striking, and being it is so thick, the flex is about zero.  But, there was still a little flex due to torque, so I added a couple braces to the rear.  The black G-10 brace really stiffens up the rear end, and adds little more weight.  That purple CNC aluminum brace further stiffens the upper frames.

The Bergen frames are said to be indestructible, and I would say so, given how tough G-10 is, and just how thick the plates are.  The frames are beefy in the right spots too.  Now, they ARE heavier than the equivalent graphite frame from MinAir.  Mine was about 5 oz heavier than my graphite Xl frame.  But, it’s worth it if I don’t have any cracks, and don’t have to replace them after any ol crash.  In the last 6 months, I have replaced the Min Air frame twice, and that’s at $125 each set.  I am sure the Bergen replacement parts are cheaper.
