AR clutch bearing mod to stop the slipping,

(the CA trick just does not work well enough)

This mod assumes that it is the bearing spinning in the hub.

(this mod, improperly done could ruin your AR bearing/hub, so you are warned)

  1. Carefully remove bearing from hub.
  2. Clean hub thouroughly and use sandpaper to roughen-up the bearing hole.
  3. Stuff some kind of paper into the bearing into both sides of the bearing to keep the glue and filings out
  4. Take a file or grinding wheel and roughen the bearing around the outside.
  5. Mix up some “JB Weld” and CAREFULLY apply a thin film on the bearing AND hub
  6. slowly press the bearing in
  7. wipe excess away from the outside
  8. then, use a shaft to push the paper out of the bearing (towards hub)
  9. wipe off shaft, and push through bearing
  10. check for any JB Weld
  11. if any comes off on the shaft, repeat from step 9 until clean
  12. let dry
