PHA Funding

The Jesup Housing Authority supports full funding of public housing authorities in our country at 100% of eligibility according to the Harvard Cost Study.

12/28/2006 - Initial funding notice for 2007 (at 76%)

1/30/07 - House and Senate Appropriations Chairmen David Obey (D-Wisc.) and Robert Byrd (D-W Va.) released their version of the final FY 2007 appropriations bills late last night. The bill (H.J. Res 20) continues funding at FY 2006 funding levels for most programs, but makes "Limited adjustments ...to meet critical needs" according to Obey. Included among those priorities are several housing and community development programs. Click here for a summary of the bill.
