This page is dedicated to photos of Rose.  I purchased her from Matt Hunter of trueredtails.com.

Rose was born in captivity from a gravid imported female redtail boa constrictor constrictor that was captured in the Essequibo river delta in Guyana, South America by Matt's friend.  She has been with me since January of 2002 and has never been anything but fascinating.

As a baby, she didn't exhibit much color, but her pattern was still STRIKING!  (Photo courtesy of: Matt Hunter)

You can see here what 7 months will do for a snake.  She's only about 9 months old and about 2.5' long  here!

Most redtails don't begin to color up until they are at least a year old and 3' long.  Rose is an exception, and a beautiful one at that!

She also has days of very light color.

That tail!  You've figured out why they call them redtails, right?

I'll post more pictures as I take them, sort through them, and pick the best to post.
