A lot of information is available on the internet and in books about boas and the proper way to take care of them. Unfortunately, most of it is either wrong or improperly applied to boas as a whole. Although many boas do have similar, or even precisely the same, care requirements as others from a different locality, many do not. What is necessary is information that is precise enough for the main groups of sub-species of boa constrictor. And until now, that has been next to impossible to find. I will not attempt to write caresheets for each and every locality of all of the sub-species because it would take me the rest of my life. I will write all that I know about the species I am familiar with and try my best to make generalizations and wide range applications when possible.
I will attempt to get the most respected and experienced individuals to write about certain sub-species that they have knowledge of. These individuals will receive full credit for their contribution as well as my undying gratitude. What more can you ask for?
Essentially, my goal is to have the most accurate and complete caresheets for boas so that boa enthusiasts of all experience levels can learn something and hopefully provide their animals with a better life (improvement is always possible). Because in the end, we all want the same thing: our boas to be happy!
