I couldn't think of an appropriate place to put a little information about myself, so I stuck myself with the animals!

My name is Jonathan Brady.  I was born on June, 8th 1979 in Charlotte Memorial Hospital to Michael and Betty Brady.  I have always lived in Charlotte, NC and currently attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  If all goes as planned, and it better, I'll be graduating on December 14th, 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and a minor in Sociology.

Since I have dedicated this site to boas, I'll focus on my interests in them.  I have always been fascinated by animal wildlife, especially birds of prey (mostly hawks and eagles) and reptiles.  Once I figured out that I would never have the opportunity to own a bird of prey, I decided to go with my second love and try to get a snake.  So, I caught a garter snake in my yard when I was about 8 years old.  I took it inside and put it in a styrofoam cup covered with plastic wrap with holes poked in it and secured by a rubber band.  I fell asleep that night thinking about my new snake and woke up thinking about it as well.  I went over to the cup and it was gone.  Nowhere to be found.  Fast forward to college...

Everywhere I lived, I always asked my roommates if I could have a snake, they all said no.  After four years, I grew tired of hearing "no" and decided to purchase one anyway.  So, on August 15th, I came home with Jake.  I immediately immersed myself in everything boa, learning all I could and thirsting for more.  I quickly came to realize that I couldn't hold Jake as often as I wanted and set out to find a female for him.  I wanted to find a female that was similar to him in appearance so that when they were old enough, I could breed them.  I had difficulty finding a female for him and eventually purchased his sister from the same source.  As time went on, I diversified my interests from boas to colubrids and pythons.  As I learned more about boas, my interest in colubrids and pythons waned to nothing and I ended up selling them all.  At this point, I had BCI, BCC, and brazilian rainbow boas.  I loved the rainbow boas for their beauty, but given my level of income, I couldn't house them in the enclosures I really wanted for them and decided to sell them as well.  I then began reducing my redtail collection by more and more and cut it down to the animals I truly loved.  This also left me open for new purchases because I had open cages.  So, that's where I'm at now.  I have Jake, a male and a female Guyana BCC, and a male Suriname BCC with room to grow.
