Broom had heretofore claimed an interest in the property hereafter described as heir-at-law Whereas, the said W.P. Broom has and does by these premises relinquished and all claims Therefore know men by these present that I, W. P. Broom in the State aforesaid & Richmond County, in further consideration of the sum of five dollars ($5) to me in hand paid, at & before the sealing of these presents by D. G. W. Jamison, George P. Jamison, and W. B. Jamison, in the State aforesaid, County of Richmond, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold & released, and by these present do grant, bargain, sell and release unto the said D. G. W. Jamison, George P. Jamison, and W. B. Jamison, all that tract or parcel of land containing 100 acres more or less lying and being in Fairfield County, South Carolina, situated one-half mile East of Blythewood, and being known as part of the land of the Broom Estate, plat of same being of record in the Clerk's Office at Winnsboro, Fairfield County, South Carolina. | Alexander Jamison was born on 19 September 1753 at Ireland; Fairfield County Cemeteries-Vol III, page #50.1 He was naturalized on 2 November 1813; Chester County Naturalization Papers (Fr. 419 - Pk 398-401) Petition of Alexander Jamison sheweth that your petitioner is an alien, a native of Ireland in Great Britain, and a subject of the Kingdom of Great Britan that he is a free white man that he has been residing within the limits and under the juristiction of The United States since the month of January in the year 1794 and that it is bona fide intention to be come a naturalized Citizen of the United States...... Alex Jamison. Wm Egnew and James Thompson swore to his character 2 November 1813.2 He married Elizabeth Jamison on 11 January 1821; Implied Marriage - She relinquished dower in sale of land to Joseph Night, with her husband Alexander Jamison.
