She married John Monroe Bass, March 2, 1848, at the James Sloan House in Dobyville. Researchers from her line think her middle name was JEFF. I have not found proof of that name and I lean more to it being Jane, after Jane Stevenson.

Anna Tyree died on 28 April 1889 at Dobyville, Clark Co., Arkansas, at age 82. She was buried at Sloan Cemetery, Clark Co., Arkansas. She En an email from Wanda Sloan Karnes received the following information: " Buried in Sloan Cemetery, with a tombstones that reads "Anna, wife of James Sloan". I have the original marriage license for James and Anna, signed by S.T. Sanders, J.P., dated May 11, 1838 and filed May 12, 1838, marriage on May 9, 1838. This original license was found in a box in the library in Hope, Hempstead County, Arkansas. A person called me one morning to tell me she had found it and I could have it for $l.50. I was delighted."

I looked for her for many years. She and Austin were in Montgomery County in 1880, 1900, 1910 and 1920 census. Austin was a physician, he was registered in Montgomery County in May 1881.
