rules for students

1. Listen and follow orders of the staff! This includes the Headmaster, Professors and Staff such as Caretaker, Nurse and Doctor. 2. Please, PLEASE do not say the passwords to the Common Rooms out loud unless only others of your house are around, or you are entering your common room. Passwords are meant to be SECRET. I don’t think anyone in the HP series ever went around telling people of other houses the password to their Common Room.. Do you? 3. Do not be a twink or twinkish in anyway. That means, but does not exclude, casting a spell and saying yourself that it hits and/or hurts the person you cast it upon. ALSO you may NOT dodge everything! You are not a super human or anything like that. (EX: “Sam shouts Furnunculus and watches a bunch of boils appear quickly on Chris’s skin” You ATTEMT IT if you play it out like that.. The other person may dodge it, or cast a shield spell, or even decide to let it hit him/herself. THEY DECIDE.) 4. DO NOT! Ask, beg, insist, demand or in any other way but, a teacher to hold a class. Do not ask them out loud, do not ask in whisper. A Professor can not hold a class unless Prepared to do so. Some might wait ‘till there are several in the dream besides that. THEY WILL EMIT WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE A CLASS!! A few MAY even have a specific day and time of each week that they intend to hold a class. 5. DO NOT do spells in the ENTRANCE HALLor LIBRARY. There are common rooms and class rooms, even the Great Hall, where you can go to practice spells. DEPENDING ON THE STAFF MEMBER : You will Get 2-3 Warnings, Loose Points and /or Get EJECTED! 6. Do not spam anything. This includes: advertisements, spells, sayings, or anything else. Spam = posting the same thing again and again. There is no need for it. Spam CAN (but to some may not..) be, posting multiple times rapidly to say one word or a few words. SAY IT IN ONE! (EXAMPLES: DO NOT DO THIS “Sam: I” “Sam: am” “Sam: SO” “Sam: Bored!!!” Post it in one message. DO NOT create an ENTIRE post of just a single letter, symbol or SPACES to fill up the screen. You can/will be ejected. 7. CURSING is to be kept to a minimum. However, if a staff member tells you to stop, you’d better do it. CONSIDER THIS YOUR FIRST WARNING! It depends on the person, how many other warnings you will get before being ejected. 8. The ONLY ‘weapon’ allowed in this Hogwarts is your wand. “Why no swords? What about Godric Gryffindor’s sword from HP: COS?” you say? That is the ONLY sword and it was kept by Dumbledor, and only used by Harry because Fawkes brought it to him. Other then that.. there are really no swords used anymore.. That is more a medieval time thing. (Think about it, Godric Gryffindor and the other founders lived, what.. A THOUSAND years ago?) NO GUNS, NO WHIPS, NO DAGGERS, NOTHING. JUST WANDS.. And your wits? :D 9. Do not complain about anything. I do not mind suggestions, but do not complain. 10. Attend classes when they are started. We (teachers) get tired of people bugging for classes then half the people in the dream don’t even come to the classes we hold. 11. All students use the chart below and your year and age. age groups/year! ages 1-10 not yet in school! ages 11-12 are a 1st year ages 12-13 are a 2nd year ages 13-14 are a 3rd year ages 14-15 are a 4th year ages 15-16 are a 5th year ages 16-17 are a 6th year ages 17-18 are a 7th year ages 19 + too old for Hogwarts! (unless you are a staff member) 12. No more than one student per person. I will always stay firm on this rules. However, I might allow multiple characters if I see a need. Anyone having or wanting to have more than 1 character as a student/teacher, you must ask bonks22 first. The reasons are obvious as to why so please ask me or don’t do it. Once a decision has been made, do not argue, or do it anyway. If found, both names will be banned and if caught in the dream, you can be banned from Furcadia. (And yes you can... ) 13. Your student and teacher character are human (in most cases, if they are not, they must be approved by me, bonks22, and or Chay Woodleas in order to be valid. This means that they do have fears, and they do have weaknesses. There is no way around it, because all humans have them. I hope this is clear to all of you. You are expected to role-play realistically with your characters. Role-playing is a group of people working together, using their advantages to help the groups disadvantages out. If you are all super and awesome who needs a group, go play with yourself, since you can do anything just about. 14. We understand many of you are young, but you are expected to use ( somewhat) proper grammar. this means absolutely no NETSPEAK, (examples: "u r way 2 cool", "u like to sk8", and anything like that.) Really now people, if your to lazy to spell the word out completely, then you do not belong in a role-playing dream at all. we will allow all the sayings like, "brb, afk, aff, g2g" due to its common use and simplicity. 15. All students use the chart below to help determine your characters year and age, and it must be set up like this. Of course you change the ravenclaw to be whatever house your in. You must do this in order to get into a house, if caught without it, you will be banned. Do not fight, annoy, argue or otherwise pester the admins ( those with share ) with whining. They have jobs to do and they are not to listen to it, its mine and in so whisper me, bonks22. 17. In the course of a role-playing situation, out of character posts are to be avoided at all costs. If you have to say something use brackets or whisper the furre avoided. 18. Do not exploit glitches when found. Please tell Bonks22 or Chay so it can be taken care of. 19. If you asked for a job and have filled out/mailed the Application. Do NOT start to ask Bonks or Chay if we got the application, if we read it, when you will be tested. We are both busy people and can’t answer a zillion questions over and over. RULES FOR STAFF OF HOGWARTS WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDY SCHOOL 1) Staff, just like all others, follow the usual rules. 2) Do not abuse your share, if you have gotten it. -Do not summon random people up to the staff area. -Do not use emit for random discussion. (Saying hello to someone that has arrived is alright.. but don't overdo it.) It is for important Information. (IE: class announcements..) -Do not EJECT! Unless Bonks or Chay are not around, or you absolutely must. -Bonks and Chay are the only ones allowed to eject. If neither are in the dream or active but someone needs ejecting, eject them. Then asap, to keep out of trouble, inform one/both of us who and why you ejected so you will not loose share. (If you eject for no reason and we hear of it, you loose share for atleast a day!) -Give people 2 or 3 warnings. If someone still ignores you after warnings, eject. (ONLY STAFF!) NOTE!!! Having share does not make you staff of any kind, unless ofcourse you were told you have a job, and your arival as a staff member is announced. It just means that bonks22 trusts/knows you enough to share control of the dream. Don't make him regret it!! 3) TEACHERS should teach at LEAST three classes per week. 4) As of now, post when you have a class. You must post the date and approx. Time of every class you hold, as well as points given/taken. (Post points from classes and outside classes) (Post the time in Central US Time, or FST. To find out what the time is in Central/FST, type 'time' in furcadia) 5. You must have your DESCRIPTION set up like this. Of course you change the headmaster part and put your job down.If found without it, you will be instantly fired. NOTES ABOUT EJECTING, TAKING POINTS ETC... **ACCEPTIBLE REASONS FOR EJECTING** *Continuing to curse or spam repeately after being told to stop. *Excessive Cursing (only warn 1 or 2 times for this.. it's rude) *Being rediculously crude (using gross or vulgur language, not just cursing) *Continuously Disrupting class (YOUR OWN class. Take points first..) *Excessive Spamming (1-2 warnings) *Being in the staff area when not allowed (permission by Bonks22 is needed to be in the staff area, or share. If you don't think they were given permission and they refuse to get down even after you tell them how (click F3 button or Back), then eject them! **REASONS YOU MAY TAKE POINTS** (Staff Only! IE: Teachers, Librarian..) *Being caught in a common room other then their own. *Speaking out of turn in class. *Disrupting class. *Being caught in the libraries restricted section without permission. (Sometimes they may have permission from another prof. Ask them if they did, and if you feel the need, check with the one they claim gave permission) *Disobeying the rules in your classroom. **SOME IDEAS OF HOW TO AWARD/DEDUCT POINTS** ^You may take 50-100 points (or less, your choice) if you catch them in a wrong common room. ^Take 15-50 points for being in Restricted Section without permission. ^Take other points where you see fit.. but be reasonable ^Give 5-10 points per correct question answered in class. ^Give 10-15 points for information of students where they don't belong (Restricted section, common rooms) ^Give points of your choice for homework assignments, quizzes, etc. *Be sure to post ALL points taken and given on the House Point Forum. COMMANDS FOR HOGWARTS WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDY SCHOOL 1)For Actions you will use ! at the end. So When casting a spell like Accio Broom, you would say Accio Broom!, adding the ! at the end to activate it. 2)Use @ for commands, so for the train you would say @Train. 3) List of Commands, and actions. -@Train -@Boat -@____. This is for house passwords, in order to get into your house you will need to be in the Dragon Speak, have the info in your desc, and then finally, know the password, saying it at the right place and with ( @ ) in front of it. -Actions can be found in the spells section here at Hogwarts Actions
