CHIP CARVING ACCESSORIES
Item 1	Drawing Pencils	Must be soft lead	Hard lead will indent the wood
Item 2	Compass	Get Professional grade Compass	As in pencil use soft lead
Item 3	Rulers	Clear Flexible 6" and 12"	These need to be flexible to fit around curved surfaces. The clear rulers assist in drawing lines on the design
Item 4	Erasers	Pink Pearls or equal	Use Pink Pearls to clean your carving. Do not use sandpaper as this will cut top off the incisions
Item 5	Tracing Paper	Get Graphite Paper	Use Graphite paper for tracing patterns on the wood. Carbon paper is oily and will soak into the wood. Graphite traces can be erased with Pink Pearls
Item 6	Books	Wayne Barton	Wayne Barton has four outstanding books available. For wannabe chip carvers you should get his first book entitled CHIP CARVING Techniques and Patterns. There are a few other authors available - check with your book store.
