Poodles and Puppies
This portion of our web site is dedicated to our poodles and their puppies. We got our poodles for pets because they make such wonderful pets. All ours are toy poodles and tiny toy poodles. They are small, easy to care for, and very smart. It doesn't take very long to train a poodle, you just have to be consistent in their training. Each of our oldest females, Jilly and Chesla, a party poodle, have their own pages that show them and their babies. Featured for the months of January and February will be Jill's Page with her new litter of babies born on December 29, 2001.
We currently have five poodles that are full time residents. They are Jilly, Chesla, Mitchell, Poohbear, and Wiggles. They are each as different as day and night. Jilly was the first of the five. She is solid black and registered. Jill is the matriarch and peace keeper. Next in line is Chesla. Chesla is a party poodle which means that she is not one solid color. She is black and white, not registered, but very much full blooded. Mitchell came along because we thought it might be nice to see what kind of puppies our girls would throw. We were not disappointed. Mitchell is a beige color, light bone structure, and registered.
Now we are left with only the two youngest girls. Poohbear is a child of Mitchell and Jilly. She is one of three from Jill's first litter and the only black one. We just had to keep her because she looked so much like her mama. Besides, we needed a new poodle to spoil (maybe we'll get it right this time). Poohbear is about nine months old at this writing and is going to be, and stay, a tiny toy. Wiggles, what can I say about her? Well, she is only eight days younger than Poohbear and is a self made woman. She is very light, can easily climb most things, and is most definitely a jumper. She really takes after her mama and daddy, Chesla and Mitch. Wiggles is 99% beige like her daddy, but does have some black highlights on her ears.Both babies are very smart.
Becoming breeders wasn't in our minds when we decided to have toy poodles. We did figure we would have a litter, at least. We are currently on finished with Chesla's second litter and Jilly just had her second litter on December 29th. Chesla's babies all have new homes and we will wait and see about Jill's. By the way, Jill had three babies and all are beige with one looking like it could very well be apricot.
