The Greater Miami Youth Symphony announces the 2008 Robert Strassburg Piano Concerto Competition for young pianists.

REQUIRED COMPETITION MUSIC (choose only 1 from the list): Grieg Concerto in A minor Op 16 1st Mvmt., OR Mendelssohn Concerto in G minor 1st Mvmt, OR Mendelssohn Capriccio Brilliant.

COMPETITION INFORMATION:

Date: The competition will be held Saturday, February 16, 2008. Participants will be notified of their audition time in advance.

Location: FIU Wertheim Performing Arts Center.

Participants must be accompanied. Participants must be a Miami-Dade County elementary, middle or high school student, and may not be older than 18 years old. Music must be memorized for competition. Winner will perform in May 2008 with the Symphony Orchestra of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony at FIU Wertheim Performing Arts Center.
