Pyrography (aka Woodburning)
Here are a bunch of projects I've done over the past few years. Cool, huh?
Go HERE for woodburned guitars.
This is the logo for any non-guitar based woodburnings:

Here are my very first woodburnings. I thought they were gonna suck so I didn't use nice wood. Whups.

One of my best friends is this keyboard player from Vacaville, California....Steve Koelling. He plays for Esucarys (duh). They're a prog metal band. Steve was the moderator at Mike Portnoy's Forum, which his how we met. A few months before I went to stay a week to visit and see Dream Theater at The Warfield in San Francisco I made this woodburned clock for him. Yes, it does actually work. It hangs over the wet-bar in his house. It measure 12" x 18" and is birch plywood.

The next two were gifts for my best friend and former singer Beau. He is, as you may have guessed, a huge Crue fan. Probably has something to do that he looks a lot like Nikki Sixx. These were really worth all the tedium.

My woodburning of a Steve Breen (San Diego Union Tribune) political cartoon. I've done 4 of this picture. One is mine, one I gave to my brother, one I gave to my parents and one I gave to the Fox News Channel (see next).

I wanted to do something cool for some of the embedded reporters that were reporting on the road to Baghdad. So I made up this monstrous woodburning (2 ft. x 4 ft) hoping that they couldn't resist putting it on the air..........

.......and they couldn't:

So yes, that morning a LOT of people saw my wood....

Here's a pic of "Death" from the "Sandman" graphic novel series. It's autographed by Neil Gaiman, author of Sandman.

This was a name plaque for one of my friend's horse's stable (btw, the guitar in the background IS Sorrell's Dragoncaster during the pattern transfer phase):

The first style Ouija I've done. The design is from a promo-pack for the movie "Witchboard". This is the second one like this. The first one I sold on eBay for $125. Woohoo.

Then, I start getting serious:
This is a replica of the well-know William Fuld design. Birch. Mine.

This is a replica of the board used in the movie "Witchboard".. It was done on solid oak (mis-fuckin'-stake!!!). Ya know, it's not the best idea to try to burn images and shit onto super-hard wood. This one took forever and a day because the wood just wouldn't burn worth a damn. I gave this one to my ex-, Stephanie, for Christmas 2001. This one I would've charged about $200+ for. It was a monster.
This is a variation of the above Ouija, except with occult symbols instead of angels and shit. Birch. I still have this one too.

The mother of all Ouija boards. It's the "Witchboard" design. This fucker is huge: 24" x 36". It's going to be a table top for a coffee table made like a big wooden chest. The board will be the top that swings open on hinges so you can actually use the table for storage. I'm going to make a bunch of planchette-shaped coasters.

Yeah, this one's taking forever...

This I made for my Dad. Yep, HUGE Bond fan. (Dalton sucked as Bond, btw):

And one for my Mom (she always wanted the eagle thing.......okay...) I've done about six of these in one fashion or another.

Here's a piece I did for a very dear friend of mine, Bill. I'm really diggin' this one. The clocks are fun, but a pain in the ass to rout. Not really bad or hard, just a tedious necessity.

A bit closer.....
