Different areas of the Center are dedicated to facilitating the various activities of the grieving child.

The "Hurricane Room" -

This room is also known as the "mad room." This room is equipped with the following activities:
  • A punching Bag
  • Play-doh for throwing
  • Mr. Nobody, a large canvas doll often used for person stand-ins
  • Pillows for throwing and burials
 

 


 

The Art Room -

The art room is supplied with the following supplies:
  • A sand tray
  • A doll house - to try out new family configurations
  • Art Supplies - for painting and sculpting
  • A star-studded hide-away-cave - in which to withdraw when feelings get too powerful to handle in front of others

 

 


 

The Free to be Me Room -

This room is equipped with:
  • A puppet theater and lots of costumes where thoughts and feelings can be played out when words are inadequate
  • Bean bags for comfort during talking times
  • Musical instruments and audio equipment
  • Games such as "Feelings Bingo"
