2-15-00 Well since we're waiting for the clearcoat to cure, I'll take some pics of the stuff we are currently doing. These things include adding some chrome, new intake manifold, valve covers, plug wires, some SS braided lines, and finishing up mounting the electronics in the rear of the cab. But today it's my birthday, so I think I'll take the day off   :-)

Engine torn down - waiting on new intake to arrive 2-15-00 Engine torn down a bit

Also this weekend ,the stainless steel firewall cover has been plasma cut and I am dressing the edges, it should be done very soon.  Also the guages were installed and I took a little ride around the neighborhood to get the bearings and things moving :)

Paddy Wagon model painted similar to the Big 3-9-00 Latest project

Little and Big Another of the above with the Big C Cab :-)

On a serious note, I've been preoccupied with other things, so lately the cars progress has been very slow.  But soon I'll be right back on it.  We still have some wetsanding with the 1500 grit and alot of buffing to do.

I have cut the seat frame down to fit the car and re-welded it.  It was an existing ford aerostar van seat that I cut down to size, my wife picked it up at a yardsale for 2 dollars.  Sure beats the frames in the magazines for $400 and up. Plus I had an excuse to get the welder out and do something new for a change!

Also the new radiator shell will be in tomorrow 3-10-00.  I ordered the chrome shell and it was backordered, so I hope it was worth the wait (and the 275 bucks!).

The buffing begins 3-19-00 The buffing has begun! here are a few different shots to show the shine!

More buffed spots Another view

Cowl showing some shine Cowl shinning away!

Rear door installed Rear view with the back door back in place

Rear installed from another angle Another view of the above

Also the new chrome radiator shell has come in, I just have not put it on yet.  It looks to be very nice though.  I also installed a new "Optima" battery, which I must say is by far the best battery I have ever owned, it was well worth the $130 dollars.  Alot of people do not want to spring for the battery, but it is well worth the money, I mean this thing has a 2 year over the counter exchange and a 7 year prorated warranty! And it turns that engine like it's never been turned before! New chrome oil pan is in (not installed yet), brought headers and slipons to a Tampa shop for the ceramic coating to be applied.

4-1-00 Well I won the lotto - grand total 7.2 million so I am going to pay someone to finish the car....

Happy April Fools :-)

Worked on the final fabricating of the steel seat frame, the seats been chopped, dropped and and a ton of welding to get it here. We even were able to re-use the padding from the original seat.
