| The first eight months of 2007 have gone by
in a blur! We spent most of the spring in baseball, so there were
very few horse shows for us. We spent from March through June playing
baseball in Estill Springs. Austin and Emily both played tee-ball
for Teddy on the Factory Furniture team, and Hunter and Tyler played for
Greg on the Franklin County United Bank coach pitch team.
Baseball, coupled with a broken foot for Generatin' Pushes, pushed
showing to the back burner. Now, however, we're making our way
back to the ring. Teddy will be on our two year old mare Georgia
O'Keefe in the two year old amateur open shod classes, and Greg
will be on Generatin' Pushes in the three year old amateur
open shod classes. Also, look for Austin and Emily in leadline and
for Tyler and Hunter in the traditional trail pleasure classes.
Teddy has already made a splash by winning the two year old amateur
class at the SSHBEA Mid-Season Show, and Greg filled in for him and won
at the SSHBEA Ladies Auxiliary Show. With these two recent wins, Georgia
has established herself as one of the two year olds to beat this
fall! Generatin' Pushes (Fruity) is now back to normal and is
ready to start defending his titles and reputation from 2006. Wish us
luck! We're sure we'll need all the help and support we can get!!! |
"Generatin'
Pushes" is a stallion by Generator's Got Colors and out of
a mare by Pusher All Colors. We were blessed to have a great show
season. He was started in the summer of 2005 by Hubert Perry and
Dolan Eady. He made his show ring debut at the Professional
Spotted Saddle Horse Trainers Association SSHBEA Show in April and won
the Open Shod Two Year Old Stallion class under the direction of Randy
Wimberly. After a successful spring, he was moved to Brain Wainwright at
Blue Springs Stables in Decherd, TN. He finished off a great year
by winning the NSSHA's Amateur Open Shod Two Year old World Grand
Championship and by winning SSHBEA's Breeders Cup Two Year Old Open Shod
World Championship and by being tied reserve in the Amateur Open Shod
Two Year Old World Grand Championship. He was the definite crowd
favorite, and we have a lot of fun with him! |
"Hello
Virginia", our walking mare by Gen's Armed and Dangerous,
continues to do well! She is pictured here with Teddy at the 2004
Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration. She was shown in
2005 by Greg and is now at home being a brood mare. |
| We had a lot of fun at the 20th Annual SSHBEA World Grand
Championship Show, and our horses did pretty well. "Pure
Caper", our yearling filly, placed second in the yearling filly
class, third in the yearling sweepstakes, and third in the yearling
grand championship. Our other top-tying entries were "Outlawed
By Color" (3rd in weanling sweepstakes), "Ben
Generating Colors" (6th in weanling sweepstakes), and "Breaker's
Rock-N-Roll Express" (2rd in 14.2 hand and under trail
pleasure, 5th in juvenile 11 and under trail pleasure, 10th in lead
line). |
