After a few trips to the auto parts store, I got
the battery installed. I had a problem finding anything
other than the Optima that would fit the battery box, so I broke
down and went with the better battery. |

I started to go around the car and clean up the
mess of wires. I also started to attach the rear wires to
the frame so I can begin working on the aluminum install for the
trunk space. |

After installing and connecting the gauges,
checking all the appropriate grounds, making one last trip to
the auto parts store for an oil filter, and filling up the
engine with fluids, we were read to start it. |
So, here's what it looks like at
this point.
It's Alive ! ! !
| At the first turn of the key, nothing
happened. We checked, and no power was coming from the
ignition to the starter relay. I'll have to figure that
one out. We manually jumped the relay, and after about 5
cranks, it started up.
I've got to fix a water leak and the ignition issue, but
there doesn't seem to be anything else to worry about. |
