The Stein family emigrated in the 1880s from Austria. For many years, they owned a bakery in
Manhattan. This picture shows Irwin Stein (my grandfather) in 1922 at his graduation from Peter Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan. He was fifteen
years old at the time.
