Some more about Steve Roach’s “Reflections in Suspension”: the composition is algorithmic in nature rather than the form of mainstream society’s “hit song” or popular genre. It may be possible to emulate the “hit song formula”, but the end result would likely be idiosyncratic at best and stilted - rigid - foreign - awkward more often than not.
What is this posited “conversation” like? (At least, isn’t it more apt to be a monologue?) Sounds like it’s an interpretive narrative... which would seem to exist for the purpose of resolving ambiguities and other nonliteralities. Mine is mostly to translate outbound thought into something that others would be more likely to understand; a deliberate lessening of precision. Pity, that.
