“(P)eople impose... schemas on the stimuli in their environment... to select...
whether to store it in and recall it from memory.”
(OK26)

But if the schema is “analyze everything to try to figure out what it means and how significant it is”, then one must remember everything.

Where is the “frame” for the picture, the “stage” for determining what to witness? There seems a transformation, where instead of being part of an audience witnessing a performance or a troupe going through a performance (as with the "Electric Slide" group dance), there is a “fisheye lens” effect where the subject is separated and even nearby stuff becomes part of the background. This concept of “focal length” seems useful, wherein that of autistic folks is extremely short, necessitating/suggesting the use of some type of “corrective lens”.

This “lens” seems to operate with time, too, turning events/situations which most people experience as part of a process into cases which must be “judged” according to the “laws” (rules) of structure.

This seems like the “null schema”, where either nothing is a schema or everything is, with no difference between the two. In conventional sociological algebra, this is akin to dividing by zero - the result is undefined; there is no schema for it. This state of affairs is of course intolerable and must be “cured”.
