Text:
Operating Systems: Design and Implementation by Andrew Tanenbaum
Objectives:
In this class, we will examine the basic elements of operating systems design. We will study the details of the Minix operating system and make some enhancements to it.
Class Meetings:
From time to time, we will be meeting in the lab instead of in the regular classroom, so you'll need to attend regularly to know where we'll meet next.
Grading:
There will be five projects due in this class. The first three will count 10% each and the last two will count 15% each. The remaining 40% will be ascribed to a midterm exam (15%) and a final (25%).

All work will be conducted according to Rhodes' Honor Code.
