PROFILE: The spark of the great Autobot leader Optimus Prime homed in on the familiar power signature of the Creation Matrix, and joined with the spark of the Autobot who housed it. Prime was shocked to learn his spark has been binary bonded to that of Hot Rod, who had been reformatted by the Matrix into Rodimus Prime. Prime is doubly shocked to learn that Rodimus has been fighting a war inside the Matrix itself to stave off the corrupting influence of Unicron's dark essence that had taken up residence there. The combined power of both Autobots' sparks was enough to send Unicron's essence into "remission", but not without the cost of most of Hot Rod's personality. Then, in a wash of Matrix energy, a new body was forged and Rodimus Prime was born. Possessed of all the wisdom and knowledge of Optimus Prime and enhanced by the enthusiasm and brashness of Hot Rod's dwindling personality, Rodimus Prime must now once again struggle to save Cybertron and the entire Universe from a resurgent Decepticon force.
ABILITIES: Prime is an able and skilled warrior and leader. Double blasters built into each arm can be used to devestating effect in robot mode. Also carries Firebolt, his Targetmaster partner, who is capable of firing an Electrostatic discharge blast that can either punch a hole through thick armor, or render any mechanical construct or being inoperative.
WEAKNESSES: Dormant as it is, Unicron's dark essence within the Creation Matrix could pose a serious threat to Prime and the rest of the Transformers again some day.
