Welcome to the $crooge McDuck Home Page.

The purpose of The $crooge Page is to encourage readership of Uncle $crooge comics, as well as Donald Duck, which will undoubtedly be covered as the page continues to develop. The site is not maintained by the Walt Disney Co., which owns the copyright on all characters shown, or Gladstone Comics, the publishers of the issues discussed here. Rather, it is hoped that both Disney and Gladstone will receive continued and increased support by sales of the comics based on interest generated by this Web site. Be sure to look for Disney comics at your favorite specialty store. You'll soon discover that, like the best animated cartoons and feature films, these comics were not created solely for children, but are meant to entertain all ages.

As this site continues to be in a formative stage, many changes have taken place since we first started working on it. In its present state, the page provides a place for fans or newly interested readers to go behind the scenes in the creation of recently issued adventures of Uncle $crooge. As you page through what we offer, writer/artist Don Rosa will guide you through each issue in the Eisner Award-winning series, THE LIFE AND TIMES OF $CROOGE McDUCK. He'll explain where his ideas come from, the research behind the stories that strive to mix fact and fancy in an entertaining way. You'll also get to see unused ideas and images of the art before it is sent the publisher to be colored and lettered, and you'll even learn where he hides those elusive D.U.C.K.s in his covers and splash panels. (See... each issue is more than a good read, it's a game!)

And now... the making of...
