The Four Rules of Gun Safety
|
|
|
In order to bring our safety
message to the broadest possible audience, our safety
education materials provide recent purchasers of firearms with basic
information on how to secure their firearms, handle firearms safely during
normal ownership activities, and allow the new purchaser to feel good about
their choice to purchase a firearm. For those who have some
experience handling and shooting firearms, but realize there are gaps in
their skills, our Practice CDs will assist the
shooter to gain a greater degree of skill with their chosen firearm. Shooters
Coach materials were created specifically to teach shooters how to correctly
practice and how to structure their practice sessions to be more effective in
increasing the shooter’s skill level. A Master Class shooter with decades of
firearms training experience created the CD product line. Shooters living in or visiting
the Atlanta metropolitan area have the opportunity to attend our training classes. Class size is kept small to
allow shooters to receive the individualized attention necessary to gain
confidence in safe and effective handling and shooting of firearms. Ladies
are particularly welcome and are, in fact, some of our best students. Highly
experienced shooters who are NRA Certified Instructors teach all classes.
Individual instruction can also be arranged for those who desire maximum
attention to increasing their performance. |

1)
Treat all guns as if they are ALWAYS
loaded. 2)
NEVER let yourself point a gun at something or someone
you don’t want to be shot. 3)
Keep your finger OFF the trigger until your sights
are on the target. 4)
BE SURE of what you are shooting at and what is
behind it. The vast majority of unintentional discharges are
NEGLIGENT Discharges, which are preventable. The National Rifle Association (NRA) has an expanded set of rules that cover even more details. |
