9/19/03 I am a firm believer in the Bible. I used to not be. But then I read the prophecies in the Bible, and looked at the world around me. The prophecies that are over 2,000 years old are starting to happen all over the world.
- earthquakes in diverse places
- wars and rumors of wars
- plagues and pestilences
- there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars
These things are already happening. Since 2000 alone, look at how many major earthquakes there have been around the world. I don't even have to explain "wars and rumors of wars." And plagues...look at our country alone (USA) west nile virus, monkeypox, anthrax, eastern equine encephalitis; and around the world: polio, malaria, ebola, dengue fever, etc...
But you say, "These things have always been happening." Yeah, they have, but the Bible says that when you see these things happening together with the Jews controlling Jeruselem, then that is the sign that the time of the end is here. The Jews took Jeruselem in the six day war in 1967. So now the other signs actually mean something.
DO NOT FEAR!!!! The Book of Isaiah says, "This is a world without end"
The Bible also says, "When all these things begin to come to pass, look up, for your redemption draws near" This is the redemption of the body.
It's obvious to me that this world is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, but I am not afraid. Why be afraid? I know what's going to happen.
What is very amazing about prophecy, is that you read it in a 2,000 year old book, and that book is talking about our world today. The Bible says that there will be a nation called Israel when Jesus returns, and for 2,000 years there was no nation called Israel. Israel became a nation in 1948.
We are all very lucky to be able to live in this day and age. We have been the ones chosen to see it all happen.
Many generations have thought that their time was "the end of the world," but no time in history have the prophecies in the Bible become so important. Look around the world...see it happen...
The Battle of Armeggedon is approaching...thankfully it will never happen. Jesus is coming to save us. Why is this battle inevitable? In the Bible, God says, "because they parted my land." That land, of course, is Israel. Look at the situation between the Israelis and Palestinians....The land is about to be parted...hence all the nations of the world will come against Jeruselem.
So here is the future news as I know it...
At some point, someone will step up and solve the world's problems, and secure a peace treaty for seven years. But, three and a half years later, Russia will invade Jeruselem, breaking the peace contract. "A fire devours before them" and they are pushed all the way back to Siberia. Then "the kings of the east" with an army of more than 200 million people will march on Jeruselem, during which, the Euphrates River will be dried up so that they can pass through, and "a fire devours before them", and they are driven all the way back, then the whole world comes against Jeruselem. It is at this point when the Armies of the world are gathering in the Valley of Meggedo (Armageddon in Hebrew) to prepare for the mother of all battles. At that point, when the world is about to be destroyed by man's temper and technology, Messiah comes to stop us from destroying the world.
So, this is not the end of the world, it's just the end of an age. A very tough age, I might add, but we had to learn something here, right? We can't go home empty handed.
