2004 March Madness

TOURNAMENT RULES

This site will be used to run two pools. The Main Pool will consist of filling in a complete, 64 team bracket. The Second Chance Pool will start after the completion of the 2nd round of the Main Pool. You can enter either pool or both. If there are not enough participants in the 2nd Chance Pool it will not be completed.

To ensure there is some method to everyone's madness, here are the rules:

The point allocation will be: First Round wins will be worth 1 point; Second Round games equal 2 points; Regional Semifinal games will be worth 3 points; Regional Final games equal 6 points; Final Four games equal 8 points, and the Championship Game is worth 10 points. Your prediction of the total points scored in the final game will serve as the tie-breaker if needed in the end.

The winner will be the person with the highest point total. Ties will be broken after the championship game. The top three finishers will receive prizes this year. The winner will receive 60%, second place receives 30% and third place 10%. There will also be 10$ for the person who finishes with the lowest point total of all entries.

Use the links on the home page to fill out a complete bracket. Your name, and email address are required. I will not give out your email address to anyone. Enter as often as you like. You must use a different name on each entry sheet. If you have multiple entries, put a number after your name (ex: Bucky Lasek1, Bucky Lasek2, etc). You can use the same email address for multiple entries.

The entry fee for the Main Pool is $10. I must receive your money by Friday, March 19. The entry fee for the Second Chance Pool is $2. Money must be received by Friday, March 26. Any entries that haven't been paid for will be dropped before Saturday's games begin. If necessary, mail entry fees to: Chip Bentley, 5 Walker Springs Ct, Taylors, SC 29687.

If you have any questions about these rules or scoring, please email me.
