News:
The Festival of Roses was dominated by the CDGC. Taking home Advanced was Blaine, Advanced Masters the Wood.
The ribbon cutting for the West Ashley course was held April 16th. Mayor Joe Riley was there to throw out the first disc. I have it all on video for those that were not present. It was a nice event.
The Stoney Hill event was held April 13th at the Sauls course in Newberry SC. Blaine Kinkel represented the CDGC with a win in his division and a 1000+ rated round. The Wood took down the Cannon and the Advanced Masters Division by several strokes. Connor had another ace and Wheels and Hal cashed. Tevor and Rick battled it out for last place and they both almost won. Way to go CDGC!
The 2nd annual Bloomin Days was held Sat, April 5th, at Trophy Lakes. This tournament for deaf disc golfers was a big hit last year and we are trying to make it a success again. From the feedback we heard and witnessed this was a great success.
The Earlwood Classic 2008. Lauren took down her first Advanced Women's victory. Great job!
The 4th Savannah Open. What a great event! The CDGC was well represented. Joe-e took down a big win in Intermediate by beating Connor in sudden death. Great job to both of these players.
2007 was a great year for Disc Golf and the CDGC. We finally got the new 18 hole disc golf course installed in West Ashley. Our membership increased to over 40 members. We have new laser engraved tags for 2008. 2008 looks like it will be our biggest year yet for the club.
