Emblem workbooks may be ordered through the usual Boy Scouts of America distribution system:  council service centers, National Scout Shops, retail distributors, www.scoutstuff.org, and the BSA catalog.  Each Scout must have his own workbook.  Please do not make photocopies of the books.

Receipt of any emblem entitles the member to wear the youth religious emblem knot (#5014) which is a silver knot on a purple background.  If a Scout has received more than one religious emblem, he may choose to indicate this by wearing the appropriate miniature devices, indicating the Scouting programs in which he earned them, pinned on the knot.  These devices are available through the local council service center.

Miniature versions (similar but not identical to, the full-size emblems) are available for all youth and adult medals.  These miniatures are intended for civilian wear by the recipients (never on the Scout uniforms), or by their parents.  These may be ordered at any time by contacting the Chaplain.

Please allow a minimum of thirty days to receive the medals/certificates.  While it is entirely possible that they may arrive sooner, do not plan on this happening.  If you are planning to present the medals on a certain date (for example, Scout Sunday),  simply write a letter to the Chaplain listing how many of each medal you anticipate needing and the date you will need them (with 30 days notice, of course).  Medals may be ordered in advance from the manufacturer, then mailed to the parish/unit as the Scouts complete the emblems.  You will not be asked to pay for any emblems until you receive them.
