He married Frances Snow about 1785. Frances was born about 1765. Frances died BETWEEN 1840 AND 1849 in Surry Co, NC.

John Cave and Frances Snow had the following family:

16 i. Anna⁴ Cave was born in VA January 7, 1788. Anna died 1843 in Jackson Co, MO, at 55 years of age. She married James Tucker January 8, 1810. James was born about 1785.

17 ii. Sarah Cave was born about 1793. She married Obediah Hudson December 25, 1813. Obediah was born about 1790.

+ 18 iii. John Cave Jr. was born about 1795.

19 iv. Lucy Cave was born about 1800. She married Alexander Buckley in Surry Co, NC, November 15, 1818. Alexander was born about 1800.

20 v. Charlotte Cave was born about 1801. She married Richard Golding in Surry Co, NC, January 2, 1817. Richard was born about 1795.

+ 21 vi. Thomas Cave was born about 1805.
