Using Telnet With Your Browser

In order to Telnet to a site, you must have a Telnet client loaded on your machine. Later versions of Windows include a Telnet client.

Setting Up Netscape

Start Netscape. Click Edit on the menu. Click Preferences. Click Navigator/Applications. In the Telnet application windows, enter:

C:\windows\telnet.exe

Click OK.

You may also download a telnet client from the Internet, install it, and put its location and name in the Apps preference.
