The Eutectic Neuron Tracing System
(NTS)
A decade ago, the Eutectic NTS was arguably
the premier hardware and software package with which a
scientist could trace the structure of neurons directly from tissue
sections or their images into a
computer. Then she could edit, merge,
filter, display in 3D, and make realistic plots
as shown below. Its statistical
package provided many, now standardized, summaries that describe a
neuron and compare one population to another. More (1 page)
