The following volunteer opportunities are available:

Campaign Manager

Requires a strong commitment to progressive values, organizational skills, and time to help brainstorm some winning strategies for this campaign.  Preferably a resident of the 1st District, but not absolutely necessary.  This is not an honorary position... work will be involved!  Contact us at askjohn@earthlink.net if interested.

 

County Chairs

We have Chairs in several counties, but each of the 24 counties will, ideally, have its own campaign committee by summer.  A primary task for each Chair would be to identify opportunities to speak or campaign in your county, then to help organize the event.  If you live in one of the 1st District counties and would have time to spare, contact us at askjohn@earthlink.net.  We are particularly interested in Desoto, Panola, Tate, Grenada, Yalobusha, Marshall, Benton, and Clay Counties.

 

Fundraising Director

Campaigns need money.  This one probably won't attract much of the "big money," which will go to the Democratic and Republican candidates.  We will raise our contributions primarily in the form of small donations.  I've gotten some advice on how to go about this from an experienced Congressional campaign manager, and we need to put our strategy into place.  Contact us at askjohn@earthlink.net.
