DE-239 Antenna Mount

As a result of a lot of people wanting it,,,, here it is. I call it the DE-239. (double end)

An S0-239 antenna mount able to take the PL-259 cable connection. These pictures are the original proto-types I made for field testing. I want to thank Dan Coman for all his help.

The bracket that the DE-239 is sitting on is actually a proto-type of my front bed rail bracket as well. Still working I see.

The mount needs a 5/8 inch hole to mount to anything from sheet metal up to 3/8 inch thick.

The aluminum body of the mount is 1-1/2 inches in diameter and 1 inch tall. The full assembly is three inches long. The heavy gage plated flat washer for the nut is 1-3/4 inch in diameter. The threads and center pin are stainless steel with Teflon insulation .

In a short run of sheet metal, like on top of the side rails of a truck, the large body and heavy flat washer would be enough to hold it. The brass nut is 1-1/4 inch in size and will work fine without the flat washer if necessary. Without the flat washer you can mount to a plate 1/2 inch thick.. And if necessary you can also remove the small locking nut on top if your antenna doesn't have the normal recess on the bottom. The parts are also locked together with locktite 262.
