For now, this is the home of one the most challenging and fun to play scenario maps for Railroad Tycoon 3.  I have decided to replace the Jagged Alliance scenario map with a new and improved version.  The new version is so radically changed it deserved a new name.  I have called it "American Empire".  In this new map you can create an empire of your own liking.  There is no end of scenario.  This means there is no lose events.  You just keep playing until you no longer want to play it.

So, how can this be any fun?  Well, for starters there are accomplishments that can be completed against time.  You can use these as a winning event against your friends for competition, tournaments, or whatever.

You do not have to pursue those goals if you do not wish to.  This makes American Empire a good map for beginners who just want to run the trains.  It is also a good map for the intermediate players to learn some of the advanced features of the game, like the stock market and how to manipulate it.  It also turns out that it is a great map for the expert who finds competing with his friends for that ultimate tycoon experience.

This map has been play tested for hundreds of hours.  It is well balanced and well scripted.  It is not scripted for a history lesson.  There are many other maps out there for that.  This scenario uses the best Anti-Robber-Baron scripting to ever occure in the Railroad Tycoon 3 Arena.  For a money based scenario, this is almost a requirement because of all the things that one can do to get free money.  Or you could just eliminate all the nice features of RRT3 like the stock market to put a stop to it.  I chose to use scripting to
catch the bad guys.  This way, the fun stays in the game.

Below are a few screen shots from the game and an overlay of the map.  I've included a few screen shots to show the people that have never played this game some of its beauty.  You will need to have the game (sold in most Wal-Mart stores and elsewhere) in order to play this map.

Just click on the map (or right click and select "Save Link Target As") to begin the download.  The file is in PKZip (WinZip compatible) format so that the file will fit in my allocated web space at Mindspring.  You will need to extract the GMP file from inside the ZIP file.  This file should be placed inside your MAPS directory along with the rest of your maps.

This map is basically a modified version of the "Germantown" Campaign scenario.
