Time Keeper

	The years collapse, and mem'ries lapse, 
	and the days pile up like dust.
	Under endless stars, I stand enrapt,
	and all I can show is rust.
	
	The sky turns red, as the day goes dead,
	and the calendar quickly turns.
	I'm filled with dread, from the life I've led,
	and the sun just slowly burns. 

	Time devours, the final hours,
	and my life seems only a day. 
	Then I cower, for thine is the power,
	and the petals blow gently away.
