We speak of human bondage in the past tense as a rule, Mayhaps, it merely dons sheep's clothing thinly disguised as love. And cages may be cages without a single bar, and bonds? Bonds need not be made of steel to bind and fetter! Given wings, the heart, and yes even the soul returns if it be destiny. Else bid them farewell and good tidings and close the book! For that which needs a stronger leash than gossamer, Or a rein longer than an arm, was never meant to hold but to enslave.
