For Three-Year-Olds and Upward Fillies and Mares, Registered Alabama Bred. By nomination of $50. $250 to enter and $250 additional to start. Weight: Three-year Olds, 120 lbs. Older, 123 lbs. Non-winners of a sweepstakes allowed 3 lbs.; of a race other than maiden or claiming, 5lbs. Starters to be named through the entry box Thursday, November 2, 2006. This race is restricted to fillies and mares bred in the state of Alabama and are registered with the Birmingham Racing Commission Breeding and Development Fund. Entry and starting fees must be deposited with the horsemen’s bookkeeper prior to the running of the race. All nomination, entry and starting fees will be paid to the Breeder’s of those horses finishing first, second and third, with 50% going to the breeder of the winner, 30% to second and 20% to third. The $55,000 purse will be divided 55% to the owner of the winner; 20% to second; 11% to third; 5% to fourth, 3% to fifth and 2% sixth, seventh and eighth. In the event of less than eight (8) starters, those percentages will be paid to the winner. The field will be limited to fourteen (12) starters. In the event more than fourteen pass the entry box, preference will be given to winners first and secondly to those horses having accumulated the highest 2005 earnings. The rules and regulations adopted by the Indiana Horse Racing Commission govern all races conducted under the auspices of Hoosier Park. Should an insufficient number of horses pass the entry box on Thursday, November 2, 2006 this race may be canceled with nomination and entry fees returned.
