Wallis Zeringue, Sr. Family - 1966

We begin 1966 with a New Years gathering at Mamare's house. We have the usual assortment of characters at the festivities. I wonder why I always took pictures of everyone eating? Maybe it was because that was the only time to catch everybody in one place! The men would then proceeded to watch football and the children went out to play. Notice that the men are all dressed up with their white shirts and ties! And just to have fun on New Years. Times sure have changed since then. Aren't you glad?

You're probably wondering why I am not in more of the pictures. That's an advantage of taking pictures, your are always behind the camera!

After looking through my photo album covering the next couple of years, it seems that 1966 was the last year that the entire Zeringue family got together to celebrate the New Years. Since I am the "oldest" of the cousins, of which I am always reminded of by my cousins, I probably have the most memories of those gatherings.
