Canal Sights Along the Way

There are many sights to see and people to meet as we make our way around the canals.  Traveling on the canal is a slow paced activity as you typically travel no more than 3 to 4 miles per hour (speed limit is 4 MPH).  This gives plenty of opportunity to view the canal sights along the way.

After traveling across farm lands for extended periods and entering a country or market town, the town offers a change of activity, an opportunity to window shop,  restock provisions, mail a few post cards, and wash a few clothes.  Occasionally a canal will take you past an easy to reach tourist attraction such as the centuries old and well known china manufacturer Wedgwood or an historic landmark such as the Chirk Castle.
