| Bruce is an electrical engineer and designs
computer chips. He was born in Jamaica to a second generation Chinese
family and
moved to the U.S. when he was seven. Before settling down in Georgia he
has also lived in Indiana, Louisiana and Florida. He took up playing the piano in college and
hopes to pass on his love of classical music to our child. He also likes
cooking Jamaican and Chinese dishes for family and friends, and looking
after our garden. This spring, we enjoyed the blooms of a hundred daffodil
bulbs, which we planted in the Fall of 2003. |

Bruce loves being outdoors, biking, camping and hiking in the mountains of North
Georgia. We think it’s important for our child to develop a respect and
appreciation of nature. |

Peter
and Frannie |
|
Peter grew up in New Jersey in a neighborhood similar to where we live now. He
teaches History and English at the high school level and has taught at Georgia Perimeter
College. Before becoming a teacher, he spent many years as a drummer in a rock
band, making records and touring the country.
The opportunity to see the United States while playing music with his friends was a great experience, and he is working on a short story collection about his musical past. |
Building a home with Bruce has been even more rewarding, and teaching has given
him a chance to have a second career. He is most excited of all, however, by
what will be his third, and most important job: being a stay-at-home dad.
Baseball has been a passion for Peter since his childhood in New Jersey. His
mother would take him to see the Yankees in New York, and we look forward to
taking our child to see games at Turner Field to see the Braves. |
| We have been together as a couple for over ten years. In that
time we’ve traveled all over the globe and look forward to taking our
child along with us on future trips. Two years ago, we toured China,
biking and hiking for much of the time. Walking on the crumbling ruins of
the Great Wall was a thrilling experience. Lately, we've been traveling in
the US visiting friends and family. We also enjoy the quiet times
at home, reading, walking or watching the world go by from our porch. |
