Puddles and Reindeer
Today I overheard Dylan talking to Avery over by the Christmas tree:
Avery, you're not going to believe this, but Santa Claus comes down the chimney and right out of the fireplace. RIGHT THERE (pointing)!!!!!
Later he tells me:
I really won't eat Santa's cookies, because he'll be very tired and need them.
Dylan sometimes acts so mature for a 3 year old that its easy for me to rely on him a bit more than I should.
Sometimes he reminds me of this.
Today I had to leave Avery unsupervised for a few minutes. When I heard some unusual clinking noises and remembered the newly decorated christmas tree, I started to worry and asked Dylan to check on her.
Me: Dylan, would you mind checking on Avery to make sure she isn't going to hurt herself.
Dylan (a moment later): Avery's okay Mama. She's just standing on a chair knocking the glass ornaments together. But she really is okay.
