Merry Christmas Everyone. We set a family record this year in making the Christmas festivities last as long as possible. Next time we want a family record though, I suggest we do it in a more pleasant way. The holiday was off to a great start when my Mom and Dad arrived Christmas Eve. Things took a dip when I got a stomach flu during the night. By Christmas morning Greg was sick too and no amount of effort was going to get us through a typical christmas morning. Thank Goodness Mom and Dad were there to watch the kids, but after a day of full time grandparenting they were sick too. Alas, we did get lots of catch up time curled up on our various couches and beds and a very extended and even enjoyable Christmas. However, I do think I'll go for healthier records in 2007.
Happy New Year Everyone!
Two recent Dylanisms he got from Greg.
One.
Dylan: What's {rubber squeaky} doggy doing?
Me: I don't really know. Looks like he's talking to Avery.
Dylan: No. He doesn't talk. It's a TOY.
Two.
Dylan walks into the kitchen while I'm cooking a PERFECT grilled cheese sandwich with a fabulous array of side dishes.
Dylan: Did you BURN my lunch?
One recent Dylanism he didn't get from Greg.
Me: What's your favorite kind of Pizza?
Dylan: No-peppers-no00000000-spicies pizza

This morning Dylan climbs up on my bed to wake me up.
Me: Good morning, Dylan!
Dylan: Daddy just said 'Good Morning' too! That is two good mornings! It's a "good morning" concert!
After the good morning concert we decided to enjoy some painting. Dylan mostly stuck to the brush, but Avery dove in with her feet. In the end though, Dylan (by accident) discovered the joy of hand prints.
Rabbit Rabbit to everyone and happy 5 month birthday to bonita baby! National Blogging Daily month has officially come to a close. Phew! Now my dreams can move from daily blogs to sugar plum fairies and christmas shopping!
