"Significant Results"

There is a price to be paid when seeking results that are significant. In order to reach our dreams, aspirations, and goals in life or any other area requires two main ingredients. The first ingredient is process, and the second is results. Process is important because it provides the details of how you will reach your goals and dreams. Results are important because you can gauge how well you worked through the planned process, and what changes you need to make to continue moving forward. However, depending upon what we do and how we do it, the results can be significant or insignificant. If you are any thing like me and other people I know, all the fuss about the process is meaningful, but I am more interested in the results, and I want them now! There are others who are more interested in the process, and even that has to be significant for them. Whether you are more interested in the process or the results, they both have to be significant. In addition, it doesn't matter if your dreams and aspirations are big or small, anyone who is looking forward results wants the results to be significant. Would you agree with me? Its one thing to get results, but in order to get significant results, there must be significant steps taken. "Significant results require significant steps."

Lets examine the results of a person who got significant results in everything He did. His name is Jesus. He and His Father had put together a plan and a process whereby mankind could be forgiven of every wrongful act carried out on earth. This process would include Jesus leaving His heavenly domain to come to His earthly domain called earth. Would you agree with me that Jesus took significant steps to get the results that he was after by leaving His home (heaven) to come to earth? Not only would He come to earth, but He would come and have to go through the same process every human being goes through. He started his life as a baby until He matured into an adult. This is what we call process. It was important that He did not skip any phases that humans would go through, in order that He would be able to identify with various aspects of life.

As He pressed His way through life, there was one thing that was always in the back of His mind that He had to do in order to get the results that He and the Father had planned. He had to die. For most people death is an inevitable event and cannot be avoided. For others their entire life is spent trying to do everything possible to stay here on earth. Not Jesus, He knew from the beginning that if He were going to make sure that all of mankind would be forgiven of their sins and granted the opportunity to go back home with Him, death was inevitable and unavoidable. Would you agree with me that dying on the cross was a significant step taken to get the results Jesus was after? continue reading
