BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH—Shelby C. Grant

Shelby C. Grant is the Senior Pastor of Harvest International Church. After being in the Jewelry business for more than thirteen years, Pastor Shelby C. Grant closed his Jewelry store in Duluth, GA to launch into full-time ministry. He answered his call to the ministry in 1993, and after two years of training, he was ordained in 1995.

In 1997 Pastor Shelby C. Grant founded Battle Ministries, an intercessory prayer ministry. His passion for prayer and intercession came as a result of a desire to know God, and a burden for laborers of the harvest. Grant has helped churches and ministries alike to develop or equip intercessory prayer ministries to undergird laborers of the harvest. In addition to working with many churches in the Atlanta area, his most recent assignment was with In Touch Ministries, the teaching ministry of Dr. Charles F. Stanley.

While serving at In Touch Ministries, Pastor Shelby was responsible for developing and implementing strategies to train and mobilize more than 8,000 prayer partners and over 450 prayer groups. These prayer partners and prayer group leaders were located in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Philippines, United Kingdom, and Australia.

Pastor Shelby and his family are currently partnering with New Beginnings Fellowship, and the South Atlantic District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance to plant "Harvest International Church" in the Dacula, GA area.

Pastor Shelby is also a Chaplain for the Georgia Army National Guard. He lives in Lawrenceville, GA with his wife Jerri, and their two children, Chaz and Caleb. He earned his undergraduate degree in Communications from Virginia Tech, and a Masters degree in Counseling at Luther Rice University.
