“Since
God is in control, why have things spiraled down so far?
Why are situations getting worse rather than better? Why
doesn’t God just fix it all? How did we get to where we
are, and why are so many countries in great turmoil?”

All
across the world, something is happening that is altering all
facets of life. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are.
Whether you are in Africa, Asia, America,
or in New Zealand, God
is shaking His people and sinners alike to a great awakening.
People all over the world are experiencing various degrees of
famine, sickness, corruption, and moral decay. Many substitute
sex, drugs, violence, entertainment, and money for our lost
values. We are amending laws daily to accommodate the flesh.
The Bible, prayer, and the Ten Commandments are no longer allowed
in schools. Decisions are being made every day that affect every
aspect of society.
In some countries, it is illegal to broadcast a Christian program
or even possess Christian literature. This is out of our control.
However, Almighty God is in control of it all, and He is at
work.
Since
God is in control, why have things spiraled down so far? Why
are situations getting worse rather than better? Why doesn’t
God just fix it all? How did we get to where we are, and why
are so many countries in great turmoil? Why do we find ourselves
so confused, running in every direction trying to clear up,
clean up, and explain our present condition? What has happened
over the years to bring us to this point of degradation? Politicians
and leaders across the world spend millions of dollars to give
their explanation and solution to change our world. However,
we never seem to escape the perpetual
cycle of patching up problem after problem.
There
are hundreds of thousands of churches all over the world, yet
society is more violent and more crime-ridden today than ever
before. We are seemingly seeing less of the supernatural power
of God at work in the life of His church. One would think after
all these years, with all the money that is being spent, all
the staff members involved, all the people who belong to Christ,
all the buildings that have been erected, and all the education
that is available, that we would be taking this world for God!
We have better trained ministries, better facilities, and enhanced
communication capabilities. Everything is at our fingertips
and yet, we are not effecting any real decisive change in our
land. So we have to ask: why? Churches have everything imaginable
to work with, but until God touches that work and infuses His
power into that fellowship, the only fuel to accomplish the
work is human energy, which will eventually run out. Human energy
will never be powerful enough to change any morals. (read
