Athens A-Train Band members have a lot of experience playing for wedding receptions and parties and can help them run smoothly. We will go over your plans and preferences to custom prepare the song set list. For example, if you are having a cocktail hour you might like sophisticated light jazz. If there will be a dinner served, you might want some background music to provide a festive atmosphere yet will also be suitable for conversation among your guests. Following dinner you might like the music intensity turned up to get your guests out on the dance floor. Athens A-Train Band can provide all of these styles of music.
We play music that appeals to a wide age group. Frequently we will have the dance floor full with the couple , their friends , and their parents all having fun. We can make announcements such as introducing the couple and wedding party or announcing the cake cutting, bouquet or garter toss, or the couple's departure. We will also make the PA system available to you and your guests for toasts.
In a three- to four-hour party or reception, we take two 15-minute breaks. During the breaks we play music from CDs over the PA system. We will schedule our breaks around your plans. If you have special songs you would like performed, we can learn them if they are not currently part of our repertoir. If you have some songs you would like played by the original artist, we can play these with our CD player connected to our PA system.
We are very flexible and will accomodate your wishes. Frequently a friend or family member of the couple has sung a song or played an instrument with the band. We are happy to do whatever it takes to make this a wonderful celebration.
