Ishmael & I at Bris.JPG (6591 bytes)

"Royal Ishmael" is represented by his daughter "Tallow Wood Julianne" grandaughters

"Sahateyn Sonata" Sahateyn Serenade" and "Sahateyn Sahsha" great grandaughters

"Tallow Wood Love Song" and "Symphony Rio and great great gandaughter "Elegantra Rio"

11 f the 13  Foundation Mare Families in the Stud trace back  through their tail female lines to the Legendary Stallion  "HADBAN "  who when mated to "Dajania" and "Rodania" produced the Celebrated Mares "Rose of Sharon" and "Nefisa"  As does the sire of Sahjat imp U.S.A. "Ruminaja Bahjat" and the grandsire of Rio El Jamaal imp Brazil "Ruminaja Ali"

Imported in 1884 and sold to D. MacKay Esq. of New Wouth Wales for 120 gns. for export to Australia. it was said    "In view of the excellence of the mares by  Hadban  it is to be regretted that there were so few of his stock"

The 2 remaining Foundation Mare Families trace to "Dahna" (Kars xDahma) who when put to the "Rose of Sharon"(Hadban x Dajania) son Rafyk imp U.K. produced "Sherifa".  The stud's Foundation Sire "Royal Ishmael" traces to this same line

"Dajania" and "Rodania" - called the two fabulous all-pervading daughters of "Hadban"

"This desertbred stallion was imported from India by the Blunts and stood just one season at Crabbet, but left incalculable influence through his two breeding daughters".

                                     *  "Hadban" has proven an especially valuable influence for excellence  in the shoulder back and loin.  The dams of the Hadban mares were Crabbet's chief family foundresses, Rodania and Dajania.   The iridescent "golden bay" coat of Hadban is still encountered among his descendants
