Saint Andrew’s is a Christian congregation living the Anglican Way: an absolute dependence on the grace of Jesus Christ, crucified and resurrected, for salvation unto eternal life; an absolute trust in divine revelation, God’s Word Written in the Holy Scriptures; and a permanent commitment to the Apostolic faith and practice of the ancient and undivided Church. |
A free and independent congregation in the Anglican or Episcopal tradition, Saint Andrew’s was founded under the leadership of the Rev. Mr. Ernest Risley in 1969 to serve a very particular need. |
Mr. Risley and the other founders of St. Andrew’s foresaw the present turmoil in civil and religious life and determined that it made more sense simply to be the Church (as Christ commanded) than to waste time and energy in useless denominational battles. All faithful servants of Jesus Christ are our brethren, and we serve him in the particular way that we do because it is our particular calling to do so, the best that we know how. We find this a very congenial calling, indeed. |
